My exercise system for the office centers on you using an EXERCISE BALL as the chair you will be sitting on while typing, sitting at a desk or drafting table, or sitting at a computer. Whether you know it or not, this device gives light exercise to your lower back, neck, legs, buttocks, and abdomen while you sit on it at your desk.
These 7 exercises constitute a total body work-out and will begin to define your body musculature. Assuming that you can complete each exercise in 5 minutes, this work-out should be able to be done in a 30 minute break from work.
Price can be a definite consideration and you will be able to find a wider selection of desks at higher price ranges. These more expensive pieces may often be made of solid wood rather than veneers, and have better hardware on drawers such as glides and handles. You can find perfectly good desks for less and they can offer the same features as more expensive desks, but they will have parts which may not be as durable or luxurious.
Consider buying an in-out tray. This will make it easier for you to deal with paper work. This is particularly true if you have a L-shaped computer desk. You have the monitor on one side plus a mouse and keyboard nearby. Using an in-out tray will keep the papers away from your computer making it easier for you to move around and keep paper and computer work separate. Having this kind of tray will also make it easy for you to organize and prioritize paper work. Should co-workers need to send you stacks of paper, they will have an area to put it and an area to pick up finished work.
